Finally. With the new 3.71 M33 CFW (custom firmware), I can now change the theme for my PSP, and switch in between the themes without mess with the FLASH.

Create a folder PSP/THEME, dump in the .ptf file and select it from the “Theme Settings” menu.

Yesterday I just bricked my PSP. Today I heard from my colleagues there is a new hope for my PSP to be revived.

A team of genius (including the well known Dark_Alex) came out with a great news for PSP community. A new unbricker program been released and technology to change an ordinary PSP battery into a service mode trigger battery a.k.a ‘jigkick’ battery or Pandora’s Battery as described here

I am going to try it tonight. Wait and see…

It Really WORKS!! My PSP is back with v1.50 !! YAY

Dark ALex may have left the PSP Scene but a group of russian hackers geniuses have released a new PSP custom firmware based on the new 3.51 firmware.

Here are the features :

- All functions of v3.51 firmware retained
- PS1 support, high video resolution, MP3 visualizer, internet navigation, PS3 connection etc
- Launch Official UMDS which require v3.51 firmware
- Direct launching of homebrews and demonstrations
- Direct launching of PS1 images
- Ability to alter the CPU speed of the PSP
- Recovery mode
- Multi-region
- Bugfixes
- Customize all your icons etc

A point to note though, the group’s name M33 is after a Triangulum galaxy or Messier 33. The Triangulum Galaxy was probably discovered by Giovanni Batista Hodierna before 1654, who may have grouped it together with open cluster NGC 752. It was independently discovered by Charles Messier in 1764, who catalogued it as M33 on August 25.
